The 48th edition of the BSBHEC monthly article topics include: Dedan Kimathi (Kenyan Revolutionary); J.A. Rogers (Africentric historian); Hollis Watkins (Civil Rights Activist); John Lynch (Fighter for historical truth); We Who Believe in Freedom (songs of liberation); Environmental Racism (in our communities); Mascogos (African people in Mexico); African Drummers (messengers of our culture and soul); Cash Bail (fighting the inequities of the (in) justice system); Juneteenth (freedom celebration); Motherland (African Americans reconnecting to home); and the Freedman’s Bank (where did our money go?). The Calendar also features a pull out poster that highlights sisters who were victims of police brutality (police don’t just wantonly murder our brothers); Youth Activity Page; Booklist; Kwanzaa; Demographics of African People in the Diaspora; Monthly Black Facts; Black People Speaking For Ourselves; and Ancestors Rising (honoring some heroes/heroines who have recently transitioned).
