The calendar is my Kwanzaa gift to my family in the wilderness (smile) of the Midwest. I also give it as a gift to my continental African friends and family so they too can be educated. Even though my formal training has been in African history, I find new information that causes me to study and research further. I would like to once again congratulate you and your organization for putting together yet another outstanding calendar for this year. It was especially moving for me to see the piece that you all did on Mumia Jamal. I would recommend that you focus on a political prisoner next year also, for the political prisoners are unfortunately one of the most often forgotten elements of our struggle.

I usually get one from Whole Foods when I shop but this year it slipped away from me. When I was in Sankofa this weekend purchasing books, lo and behold I see a calendar and I purchase one fully intending to hang it in my office without any further involvement with the paper. I just took it out of my bag and WOW I cannot put it down. I must take it back home and READ it before doing another thing with it.This shall be my new constant. Again THANK YOU for this.
